COURSE DESCRIPTION

 
Text Box: The Bunwell Santa Fun Run is single loop course of approx 5km, run completely on traffic free country roads. The course is generally flat and passing through Bunwell Street and returning along countryside lanes.. It is set in the beautiful surroundings of Bunwell, near Wymondham, Norfolk. The race start will be clearly marked and is located on the B1113, Norwich to New Buckenham road. The Route The start and finish for both events takes place in Church Lane, Bunwell. The route will be well signposted and marshals will be present at each road junction. Registration and collection of Santa Suits will be at Bunwell Village Hall. The main route is approx 5km. Participants will run/walk to the junction with Bunwell Street and turn left. The route then continues through Bunwell, passing the Village shop, Post Office and Days garage. At the junction with Hall road, you will be directed left into the countryside and return into Bunwell along Hunts Green. On re-entering the village you will take a right turn into Chapel Road and then, approx 800 yards away you will be directed left. This is the final stage of the run. 3/4 of the way along Barhams Lane you will negotiate the ford (please be careful). At the T junction, turn right and proceed to the finish line 50 yards ahead. The route for “Santa’s Helpers” is approx 3km. Participants will run/walk to the junction with Bunwell Street and turn left. The route then continues through Bunwell to the junction with North road (identified by the Village store. At the junction, turn left into North rd and continue to the fork where you will be directed left along Chapel road. Approx 800 yards away you will be directed left. This is the final stage of the run. 3/4 of the way along Barhams Lane you will negotiate the ford (please be careful). At the T junction, turn right and proceed to the finish line 50 yards ahead.
